St Martin’s Village
Non Profit Company; PBO NUMBER 930058969, is to facilitate the growth of a vibrant and compassionate community (village) which provides care for those in need and opportunities to serve to those who have been put in a position to do so.
The purpose of St Martin’s Village Non Profit Company; PBO NUMBER 930058969, is to facilitate the growth of a vibrant and compassionate community (village) which provides care for those in need and opportunities to serve to those who have been put in a position to do so.
To this end various projects are run:
SMV Family Care supports families who provide temporary safe-care, foster care and adoptive care to abandoned, abused and traumatised children. The SMV Kindergarten provides ECD services to these families and also other families of our community.
Organization:
Our affairs are overseen by a Board of Directors (made up of community members - see contact us page).
Location:
We are based at the Old Farm House in Ouklip Avenue - Newcastle Community Enterprises - Farming God's Way Fresh Produce Production, Hydroponic Leafy Veg Production, Egg and Meat Production, Compost Production (also at Thekwani Sawmills), Charcoal and Firewood production - have been started to create work, training opportunities and an income for the other projects.
Plans for the Future:
Stepping Stone Internship Programme for kids leaving local orphanages at age 18, Retirement Village Support/Partners: From the beginning (2017) we have partnered closely with the neighbouring Evangelical Lutheran Congregation. Countless other local, national and international individuals, families, congregations and businesses have partnered with us over the years. May God richly bless you!
